Your role

 
Drive & lead the efforts to deploy OE and site strategy, to identify and develop systems and support for ongoing site efforts: process improvement, daily management system, and culture. Plan, lead, drive and execute business critical improvement projects to deliver successful results using Lean Six Sigma approach.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with site workstreams subject matter experts and Operational Excellence (OE) stakeholders to identify and drive crucial efforts leading to sustainable improvement for the site for the medium to long term strategy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the site coaching others in the philosophy, methods, tools and techniques of process improvement to increase the capability of the business to respond to problems.
  • Communicate project progress and promote project achievements to maintain awareness of improvement activity on the site across the network and with site leadership.
  • Support/ Facilitate improvement project business case to secure the necessary support and resources for success. Work with the business to identify and report milestone project progress and work with project sponsors and site leadership to address major barriers to progress to ensure projects are delivered to plan.
  • Kaizen: Create a culture of continuous improvement through kaizen. Facilitate stepwise improvements in safety, quality, cost and delivery through kaizen events while harnessing the power of daily kaizen. Supervision and development of the Big Idea program.
  • Process mapping and process standardization: Measurement and C/T analysis of the process and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the required level of safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Quality Processes: Ensure the Organization is implementing the appropriate lean methodologies, e.g. VSM, standard work, pull systems, SMED, TPM, cellular manufacturing, 3P etc. to maximize productivity, capacity and throughput while minimizing lead time and WIP.
  • Transactional Processes: Lead the implementation of the appropriate lean tools, e.g. VSM, Transactional Process Improvement, variance reduction, etc. to maximize productivity and minimize lead-time in the front and back office areas.
  • Problem Solving: Instill a culture of problem solving throughout the organization. Ensure that every level within the site utilizes the A3 problem solving methodology following the PDCA cycle. Application of problem solving spans from the 5 whys to Six Sigma Green/Black Belt initiatives.
  • Profitability & Growth: Lead efforts to identify and implement opportunities that will increase profitability and increase organizational culture maturity.
  • Process-Orientation: Identify and implement best in class lean processes and business intelligence to further enhance the pursuit of excellence.
  • Transfer pragmatic methods and coach/educate the OE mind-set to the departments.
  • Support OE communication and good practice share within the entire organization.
  • Contribute in OE program framework development, interact with group OE community.

If you have

  • Higher Technical Education.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.    
  • Hands-on in TPS and Lean Six Sigma toolbox
  • Experience in leading the transformation of a manufacturing site through implementation lean methodologies.
  • Hands-on  experience in the implementation of lean management while spearheading the change management process.
  • Good training & facilitation skills
  • Previous experience in medical device or (bio)pharmaceutical company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of having delivered tangible results.
  • Expert level in process improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Hands on attitude to get things done with the ability to manage change to a successful conclusion.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic style.
  • Strong Communicator and Great Influencer skills.
  • Black Belt certification is desirable but not required.
